School assignment is a boundary question, not a city question
Buckeye's city limits are wide, and school boundaries do not follow them. Which school serves an address depends on the specific district boundary and, sometimes, on the exact subdivision. Any honest answer starts there: confirm the attendance zone for the property address with the district before you commit to a neighborhood.
The districts that touch Buckeye
The main districts serving the city are Buckeye Elementary School District (a PreK-8 district serving areas around the historic center), Buckeye Union High School District (a high school district serving the historic and surrounding areas), Agua Fria Union High School District (a 9-12 district serving parts of the Verrado area), and Liberty Elementary School District (a PreK-8 district serving parts of the Verrado and Goodyear areas). Litchfield Elementary, Arlington, and Palo Verde districts also reach parts of the wider Buckeye Valley. Attendance zones depend on the property address and can change, so confirm any address with the district before you rely on it.
What that means for Verrado and the new communities
As a general pattern, families in the Verrado area are served by Liberty Elementary district schools for elementary and middle grades, then Verrado High School under Agua Fria Union for high school, and the older center of town is served by Buckeye Elementary and Buckeye Union schools. But the pattern only holds for a specific property if the attendance zone says so: Sundance, Tartesso, and the newer east-side plans sit in various elementary and high school boundaries, and two nearby streets can split between districts.
How to check your address
Districts publish boundary information and accept phone lookups by address. When a family is comparing homes in Buckeye, make the boundary check for the exact property part of the same afternoon as the open houses, because two streets in the same master plan can split between districts, and nobody wants to discover that after moving day.
