Questions the notebook answers

What is Inside Buckeye AZ?

Inside Buckeye AZ is an independent local media and community resource for Buckeye, Arizona. We compile plain-language field notes on the town's neighborhoods, businesses, events, and people from public information, business-provided information, and reader nominations, with no affiliation with the city and no paid influence on editorial coverage.

How do I nominate a business?

Use the nomination page: tell us the business name, where it sits, and why it matters to the neighborhood. It is free, reader-driven, and editorially independent, and a nomination does not guarantee a listing.

How do I become a Community Connector?

Connectors are volunteers across Buckeye who share recommendations, flag events, and pass on the questions newcomers ask. It is a few minutes a week, unpaid by design, and it feeds the notebook's next entries.

How do I suggest a story or flag an event?

Story ideas, event listings, corrections, and nominations all land in the same mailbox, and a human reads everything. The story board on the stories page also lists the leads we are already tracking, in case yours is there.

Recurring events, markets, fundraisers, and park nights are exactly what the calendar is for. Send the details through the event submission page, and we will verify and add them.

What is changing in Buckeye right now?

A lot, and the story board tracks it with the verified facts kept separate from the idea: Verrado Marketplace, the retail district at I-10 and Verrado Way, opened its first tenants in 2026, Abrazo opened the first building of a new medical campus at the same interchange in 2025, and Banner Health has announced a planned full-service hospital nearby.

Where do the farmers markets meet?

Two weekly markets anchor the town: the Buckeye Farmers' Market on Saturdays at Sundance Park and the Verrado Community Farmers Market on Sundays, roughly October through May, at Verrado Town Square. Both run 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are worth a dedicated trip.

Where do I find city services and local resources?

Parks, libraries, utilities, healthcare, food pantries, and service clubs all live in one plain-language index on the resources page, with every entry linked to its official source. It is the right first stop for anyone new to town or new to a question.

Which neighborhood fits my lifestyle?

Buckeye's communities genuinely differ: walkable Verrado at the mountain's foot, three distinct 55+ communities, and fast-filling master plans on the east side. The neighborhood notes describe each one plainly, and the moving guide reads beside them for schools, utilities, and how the town works.

A city writing itself quickly

Buckeye has grown quickly for years, with new master plans filling in across the east side. The notebook exists so the town's story stays legible while it changes: who opens the shop, which neighborhood is filling in, and what the old center still remembers. Paid relationships, sponsorships, advertising, or business participation do not determine editorial recommendations or factual coverage; sponsored or paid content will be clearly identified when applicable.
