Community Resources

The resource index newcomers deserve: city services, food and basic needs, libraries, schools, utilities, and healthcare in one place, curated by an independent publication and kept in plain language. Links point to official sources; this page itself is not a city page, and the city does not review or endorse it.

Which community resources does Buckeye have?

City Services

Buckeye runs its own parks, water, trash, and recreation. These are the city doors residents actually knock on.

Trash & Recycling
Weekly curbside pickup and recycling for city-billed addresses.
Utility Billing
Water, sewer, and trash billing through the city, with rate sheets online.
Swimming & Aquatics
The Buckeye Aquatics Center at Town Park (207 N 9th St, 623-349-6390): zero-depth entry, diving boards, and a 160-foot water slide.

Parks & Trails

The county runs the big desert park on Buckeye’s east side, and the master plans thread their own paths toward the same ridgeline.

White Tank Mountain Regional Park
20304 W White Tank Mountain Rd, Waddell, AZ 85355, 602-506-2930 ext 5. Maricopa County’s largest regional park: roughly 30 miles of shared-use trails, the barrier-free Waterfall Trail, petroglyph sites, and campgrounds.
Sundance Park
22865 W Lower Buckeye Rd. A 68-acre park whose 38-acre Phase II expansion opened in September 2023, with the city’s first public fishing lake (stocked with catfish, bass, bluegill, and rainbow trout), a splash pad open April through October, playgrounds, lighted basketball courts, multi-use sports fields, ramadas, and a dog park.
Sundance Recreation Center
21765 W Yuma Rd. The city-run rec center opened in September 2021: a fitness center, swimming pool, tennis courts, group fitness classes, and youth classes in gymnastics, dance, and karate, plus before- and after-school care, summer camp, and preschool programs.
